If you haven’t seen the signs in the store, it’s that time of the year again for OpieCon! This year we’ll be having both Witch Hunter and Living Forgotten Realms, all available for signup on the OpieCon Web site at This is a great warm-up for Free RPG Day, to be held on Saturday, June 18!

OpieCon Kickoff Games – Friday, May 28

In case you’re coming in to town early for OpieCon, we’ve got a LOT happening on Friday, May 28! Mark will once again host his continuing monthly Star Wars Saga campaign set in the Knights of the Old Republic Universe at 6 p.m. At 6:30 p.m., we’ll have our regular bi-weekly Friday Night Battletech game, hosted by James, president of Exodus Road Hobbies. In addition, we’ve got our weekly HeroClix gaming starting at 6 p.m. (wow, hope I have enough space… yeah, I will 🙂 )

And, of course, don’t forget about Friday Night Magic at 9:30 p.m.!

OpieCon II Signups are LIVE!

We’ve created the Warhorn site for OpieCon II – Memorial Day Weekend – and it’s already filling up with all sorts of gaming goodness, especially for Living Forgotten Realms! If you’re interested in running a game outside of what’s already listed on Warhorn, give me a shout via e-mail at owner@organizedplay.org!

OpieCon II – Save the Date! – May 28-31

A lot of details are in the works for OpieCon II – our quarterly-ish house convention for role-playing games – but we WILL be holding it over Memorial Day weekend! We’ll definitely be having a truckload of Living Forgotten Realms play, and there could be some other surprises, too… keep an eye out as we’ll be developing plans for the con over the next couple of weeks!

Announcing OpieCon – 1/22 – 1/24 – Pathfinder, Star Wars and Witch Hunter!

edit: opiecon link works now, just needed to take out the capital letters

After a highly successful Year’s End mini-convention for Living Forgotten Realms, we’ve decided to do it again, partnered with the Tennessee Valley Gamers’ Association – but this time, with Pathfinder Society, Star Wars: Saga Edition, and Witch Hunter: Dark Providence! The idea for OpieCon is to give some excellent non-D&D campaigns exposure in the Knoxville area. Several of the games are still being worked on, so check back in a couple of days if you don’t see the games listed yet. Best of all, OpieCon, just like all our other mini-cons so far, is absolutely free. Remember – all scheduled events and players, in the case of a shortage of playing space, will be given priority. More details below the cut!
