GPT Dallas – Fetchland III – It’s Back! – Sunday, March 20, 1 p.m.

It’s that time again… time for another Fetchland Tournament! As you Magic folks are probably aware, we’ve done two previous Fetchland tournaments in the past, which were both great successes… and it’s time to do another (albeit, most likely the last one, as fetches are becoming more rare!) In addition to this being a Fetchland Tournament, it will *also* be our Grand Prix Trial for Dallas – and it’s Standard format! We’ve had great attendance at our past couple of tournaments, so I anticipate we’ll be able to award at least two byes to GP: Dallas for this event. Fun times!

As in the past, entry will be $15, and we’ll be giving away a full playset of every Fetchland in Standard to the winner. Everyone throughout Top 8 will receive prizes, and we’ll also be doing some cool giveaways during the event. It starts at 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 20… technical details are below the cut.

This will be a Standard Constructed tournament at 1 p.m. on March 20., with registration beginning at noon. We’re anticipating six Swiss rounds and a cut to the top eight competitors, which means we’ll probably be running until around 8 p.m.

Entry will be $15, and here’s the prizes:

First place: A playset of every fetch land in Zendikar: 4x Misty Rainforest, 4x Arid Mesa, 4x Scalding Tarn, 4x Marsh Flats, 4x Verdant Catacombs.

Second place: Two playsets OF YOUR CHOICE of Zendikar fetch lands.

Third and fourth place: A playset of OUR choice of Zendikar fetch lands. (We’ll try to accommodate requests, but this will be prized out based on stock levels.)

The remainder of the Top 8 – places 5-8 – will receive five packs of boosters of any Standard-legal set (except Worldwake)!

In addition, we’ll be running side events all day – 8-person drafts (8 packs to winner, 4 to loser,) and win-a-box Standard Constructed ($14 and $13, respectively), and also have plenty of cards available to fill out your last-minute needs! (yes, even more fetch lands!) Level 1 judge John Viera will perform all judge-related tasks!
