Grand Prix Trial Denver – Mirrodin Besieged Sealed, 1 p.m., Feb. 6!

As part of our launch weekend celebration for the new Mirrodin Besieged set, we’re going to be hosting a Grand Prix Trial for the Denver Grand Prix on Sunday, Feb. 6 at 1 p.m.! If you’re not familiar with Grand Prix Trials, they’re special tournaments only available at a limited number of stores that award three-round byes to Wizards of the Coast’s largest public tournaments – the Grand Prixs – which have $30,000 in prize money up for grabs! We’ve had good success with our past two GPTs, and despite the fact that Denver’s a little further out than Atlanta or Nashville, I still anticipate that we’re going to see a good number of folks come up for it!

This event will be in Sealed format – three packs of Scars of Mirrodin, three packs of Mirrodin Besieged – and we’ll have Level I Judge John Viera onhand to address issues and rules questions. A half case of prize support is guaranteed, with an additional three packs of prize support added for every participant over 24, and it’ll be $30. I anticipate at least five rounds of play, with a played-out Top 8 to determine the winner. For those of you who are concerned about such things, we should be in at least the final round of regular, non-top 8 play by the time of kickoff for the Super Bowl. In addition to a load of MBS packs, the winner will receive a bye to GP: Denver, and if we have more than 32 people, we’ll have two byes to award!

The exact prize breakdown should be:
* 1st Place: One sealed box of Mirrodin Besieged
* 2nd Place: 24 packs of Mirrodin Besieged
* 3rd/4th: 12 packs of Mirrodin Besieged
* 5/6th: 6 packs of Mirrodin Besieged
